Slowing Down to Remember Something Bigger

This summer, The Siotha Project has intentionally taken our foot off the gas. Fewer big pushes, more time spent in the background — building relationships, listening to the veterans and organizations doing great work around us, and thinking hard about how we show up for this community going forward.
Introducing Together We Ruck
Starting in August, our monthly rucks are evolving into Together We Ruck — a community series built around causes that matter to us. Instead of rucking just to ruck, each month this Fall we'll lace up in support of a different organization: military and veteran suicide prevention, addiction recovery, and more. Registration for each ruck will happen directly through the organization we're supporting that month. Check our calendar for registration links!
A Partner Worth Knowing: Recovery in Motion
Part of slowing down this summer has meant taking the time to appreciate the people and programs already doing meaningful work in the veteran space — and Recovery in Motion is a perfect example.
We want to give a quick shoutout to Remington Willow, who helped create Recovery in Motion, an adaptive fitness program held every Wednesday from 3:00–5:00 PM and hosted by Santa Fe Family Life Center. The program gives veterans and their families access to pickleball, cardio equipment, and weight training — all designed to meet participants where they are. It's a great example of what community-driven support looks like in action.
What's Next
We're heading into Fall with a clearer sense of who we're walking alongside. Together We Ruck kicks off in August, and we'll be sharing more about each partner organization as those events come together. Thanks for sticking with us through a quieter summer and hope to connect soon.
