When Kyle and I launched The Siotha Project, we wanted to work in areas we have experienced. Both divorcees, we understood what it's like to go through the process and know there's a lot of possibility for peacemaking tools and education for everyone involved.
On Thursday, January 23rd will be my first divorce workshop. I've been thoughtfully putting together slides and information, because this one does feel a bit more personal. My former husband and I split in 2022 and have done our own peacemaking through divorce and co-parenting. I can’t take credit for his work and journey, but I can share the collective story of how we peacefully managed a divorce, sharing a child, and added new partners to create a positive working pod around our 12-year-old.
However, this workshop isn’t about my story. Mine is just one, and we definitely can't navigate or control another person or other's choices. Divorce always has some degree of conflict, and choices made thorughout can impact years to come. This workshop revolves around how we individually handle conflict and our own stress responses. It can even be helpful in divorce recovery and offers tools, resources, and awareness in the midst of a huge life change.
If you or anyone else is experiencing separation and/or divorce, join us on January 23 as we come together in camaraderie, friendship and to create positive pathways and outcomes for 2025.
With Much Care,
Jenn
